Klondike Express Main Deck

The Klondike Express has two enclosed and heated passenger decks that can seat 338 people in booths with tables. In the summer, we normally limit seating to 310, which leaves extra space for everyone.

Booths along the window accommodate 6 passengers. All seats on the vessel have excellent views. There is ample outside deck space for closer viewing of glaciers and wildlife.

The 3rd deck is where the wheelhouse is located -- the rest of the area is for passenger viewing anytime during the cruise. The second deck has aft viewing and is sheltered from the wind. The main deck has outside aft space for viewing as well as the bow of the vessel. The bow doors are only opened when the vessel has reduced speed or is stopped for viewing glaciers or wildlife.

The Klondike Express is wheelchair accessible on the Main Deck. There is no elevator to the second and third decks. Preferential seating is reserved at the front of the main deck and the passenger may remain in their chair for the entire trip. We do have a handicapped accessible restroom on the main deck.

Wheelchair passengers (including those with large, heavy power chairs) arriving in our parking lot or on the Alaska Railroad may wheel down our gangway and on the vessel.

Wheelchair passengers who prefer to sit at a booth are given preferential seating at window booths on the main deck. Space is limited, so please advise us of wheelchair usage at the time of your reservation.
